Have you ever felt unbalanced or found yourself experiencing odd sensations immediately upon rising from the massage table post-treatment? Your physical body as well as your energetic body has just experienced major shifts from your session.
Give Yourself Time to Adjust
Give yourself time to adjust to the new equilibrium. Follow this process:
Before rising from the table (while still lying down either on your back or face-down on your belly), keep your eyes closed and take three deep breaths in through your nose and gently blow out the air through your mouth.
Slowly roll your body onto a side of your preference (with your eyes still closed) and repeat this breathing technique of taking three deep breaths in through your nose and gently blow out the air through your mouth.
Slowly begin to open your eyes by cracking your eyelids allowing a small amount of light to enter for a few seconds before fully opening your eyes all the way.
SLOWLY sit your body upright on the table and stay there for three more deep, cleansing breaths.
Finally, slide your body to an upright standing position feeling the ground beneath your feet supporting you.
Notice how you feel
Take inventory on any new sensations occurring throughout your body. This is your first opportunity to experience the healing power of massage as you are an active witness to the healing energy shifts that just occurred! Remember this feeling and awareness as you continue with your day that you are an active participant in this incredible form of medicine!
